Portfolio Simulation ("portfoliosim.app") is a retirement planning calculator. This policy describes how we handle information when you use our site.
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. All simulation inputs (portfolio value, withdrawal amounts, etc.) are processed entirely in your browser and are never sent to a server.
If you use "Copy link to this plan," the plan's inputs are written into the link itself (after the # sign, which browsers do not send to servers). Anyone you share the link with can see those numbers. Saved scenarios are kept only in your browser's local storage.
This site does not use cookies or show advertising. It keeps two things in your browser's local storage: any scenarios you choose to save, and a small counter (how many simulations you have run) so it knows when to show an occasional "buy me a coffee" note. Neither ever leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes both.
The site links to Buy Me a Coffee for anyone who wants to support it. Following that link takes you to their site, where their own privacy policy applies. We receive nothing about you unless you choose to send a contribution there.
The site has no affiliate links today. If any are added later, for example to financial services or products, we may receive a commission at no extra cost to you, and each one will be clearly disclosed where it appears.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles basic request information, such as your IP address, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, under its own privacy policy. The site loads no scripts, fonts, or other files from any other service.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
